The Scout Troop take part in a variety of activities at each weekly meeting, covering all the different elements of the awards they can achieve. They also get the opportunity to join in overnight camps, hikes and outdoors activities during the year, outside of the regular weekly Troop meetings..

Cubs can work towards receiving the following awards during their time with the Troop.

• 61 Activity Badges - some of these can be completed at home
• 16 Staged Activity Badges
• 9 Challenge Awards
• Joining In Awards
• Leadership Stripes
• Chief Scouts Gold Award
• Moving On Award

Scouts work towards the 9 Challenge Award badges during the weekly sessions. These badges are :-

• Skills
• World
• Adventure
• Creative
• Expedition
• Teamwork
• Team Leader
• Personal Challenge

When Scouts have completed all 9 Challenge badges they are then presented with the Chief Scouts Gold Award
